Summer Events in Coeur d’Alene
The sun is shining and the locally brewed beer is flowing. Here are some of the biggest summer events in Coeur d’Alene.
Hit the amusement parks with the whole family
Just 25 miles away is a large amusement resort called Silverwood, with rollercoasters and waterparks. A little closer in Hayden is Triple Play which is a smaller amusement park, but it offers unique items like go carts, pee wee golf, laser tag and bowling.

June
People from around the world come to participate in the Ironman Triathlon.
July
The 4th of July is gigantic here. CDA resort puts on a firework show that is as impressive as NYC and it draws huge crowds. The last weekend in July brings the CDA Street Fair. The main street (Sherman) is closed off and all of the vendor’s setup on the street.
August
The first week of August brings the Taste of Coeur d’Alene at City Park. It’s a great weekend with free live music, micro brews, food vendors and arts & crafts.

Brunch and views
Eggs benedict breakfast at the Garnet Cafe. A gorgeous hike around Tubbs Hill overlooking lake Coeur d’Alene. From Tubbs Hill, you can walk over to the Coeur d’Alene Resort for a mimosa at the Dockside restaurant where you can watch all the boats coming and going from the marina.
Shopping and a proper pub lunch
From the marina you can head out to Sherman Way and explore all the cute boutique shops and unique restaurants. Lunch at Crown & Thistle restaurant for some authentic fish and chips (real Haddock) with cider at their 200-year-old handcrafted wood bar that was brought over from England.
A bike ride to Higgins Point
Grab a bike and hit the Centennial Trail. It has 23 miles of paved riding all the way to the state line of Washington. Ride to Higgins Point, along the lakefront with the awesome lake views. At Higgins Point, watch the bald eagles dive bombing the lake as they hunt for fish. As the sun is setting, make your way over to Stella’s on the Hill for a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the Coeur d’Alene golf course and the beautiful lake.
A dinner cruise and piano bar kind of night
Finish with a dinner cruise departing from the resort. At the end of the cruise, if you have any energy left, head over to the NYC Piano Bar for some dueling pianos entertainment and group singing.
